About

Command Crossroads is a game about leading people. It is an entertaining learning tool in which participants build their knowledge and practise their skills by overcoming a series of realistic business challenges.

At the start, each participant receives a game character with its own personality, and the group makes the learning journey together. Their aim is to make the best decision in every challenge and earn points.

Twelve challenges are available, from urgent turnarounds and staff turnover crises to communication breakdowns and organisational change. For each one, players picture the context, read between the lines, weigh up the pros and cons and choose the most appropriate action.

Challenges arrive one after another, important issues need urgent and careful handling, and people are looking to the leader for answers. The clock is ticking. It is ideal for leadership programmes, management offsites and development days.

Learning outcomes

Command Crossroads gives managers a safe space to practise leadership decisions that would carry real consequences at work.

Playing characters with different personalities encourages participants to consider how people react to change, pressure and conflict.

Discussing each challenge in groups exposes participants to different leadership styles and helps them refine their own judgement.

The game builds confidence in handling difficult situations, from staff turnover to organisational change. Participants leave with practical approaches they can apply immediately and a shared vocabulary for discussing leadership within their organisation. It can be tailored to your leadership model or competency framework.

Experienced facilitators guide each discussion, drawing out insights and connecting the scenarios to the realities your managers face every day. Participants often say it is the most practical leadership training they have attended, because they learn by doing rather than listening.
