About

In Grand Prix Garage, teams construct an almost full-size racing car from a self-assembly kit within a tight time frame, a thrilling theme in a continent that hosts many of the world’s most famous circuits.

Once the car is built, teams decorate it so that it stands out on the track, adding colours, sponsors and team branding of their own design. Every team wants its car to look as fast as it goes.

Then race day arrives. Teams line their cars up on the starting grid, the chequered flag flies and the cars are off, each with one team member at the wheel while teammates push it down the track.

Pit stops and quick changes can win or lose the race, so teams practise to sharpen their routine. In a spectacular awards ceremony, the top three teams take their places on the podium.

Learning outcomes

Grand Prix Garage brings the precision and teamwork of motorsport into a hands-on challenge. Teams must plan the build carefully and share out roles to finish on time.

Designing team branding gives creative members a chance to lead and builds a strong sense of identity and pride.

Practising pit stops shows how rehearsed routines and clear communication make a team faster and more reliable, a lesson that transfers directly to everyday work.

The race itself creates huge energy, with cheering supporters and plenty of laughter along the track. The podium ceremony gives everyone a moment to celebrate.

Teams leave with a shared story, a sense of achievement and a reminder that the best results come when every role, from the driver to the pit crew, is valued.
